The two most important things that
confront the mind of man today are religion and health.
To me the more important of the two is health, for man can' not live
without it, and right
breathing is absolutely essential to good health. Thousands of men and
women are falling
off in health and vigor for the simple reason that they do not breathe
as they should.
The religion of today teaches how to die, but does not teach one
how to live, to breathe
properly, in order that all organs of the body may function rightly,
for right functioning is
absolutely necessary to health. We know that if we live aright,
according toNature's laws,
we shall have health; we shall not need a religion to teach us how to
die, for to live aright
means to die aright; death will take care of us, and not be cruel.
Man Has Sought To Know God
Man has sought throughout the aeons of time to know God.
This burst of the Divine thus
brought into his life fills him with joy so sweet, hope so bounding,
and zeal so pure, that he
then realizes something of his destiny. If he will continue to make
himself perfectly open to
Truth, in whatever form it reaches him, it will lead him to this
freedom.
Man has always been groping for light of Truth, never
satisfied with the form of religion
he possessed, but always aspiring to some higher expression of his
worship of the Deity, or
Creator; and thus man, with an open mind, now accomplishes much which
his ancestors,
with their narrow minds, could not. The more he lives according to
Nature's laws, the more
he will grow in wisdom and goodness; he will learn to do many things
which once were not
possible for him to do, beside which the (so-called) miracles of our
time will pale into
insignificance. With our knowledge of these facts, together with the
certainty of a future
which depends upon us to render happy for ourselves, and with our view
of the life beyond
the grave, we should be careful to avoid any effort to conform these
truths to any of the
accepted creeds or dogmas of the present that have their origin in the
myths and superstitions
of the past. Remember, that eternal progression is ours through the
unfoldment of spirit,
and that it is for all eternity.
